Congrats to Tristen and Ami Dark

More congratulations are due again today. It seems to be quite the red letter week! Please congratulate my beloved master on being given the role of Peacekeeper within the clan. So he will now be protecting us all again "officially" just as he always does unofficially. I love you, Tris!

Oh, yeah and I was also given the official title of Tainted Dark Angel by my favourite King and Queen for my work as a mentor and keeper of souls within the family.


Thank you family for all that you do to support Tris and I..and the clan as a whole. I look forward to many more weeks like this one!

Congrats to ...well... Me!

 

After many nights of waiting, we celebrated our migration to the Tainted Blood Clan with the private turning of myself from vampire to hybrid. I cannot tell you how happy and excited I was to have Mark and Morganna oversee my turning. Since Morganna gave me a welcoming ceremony when I first came to be with her, it felt so much like home to be able to turn hybrid under her oversight.

Never before have I witnessed such a beautiful turning and as the blood rain poured from the sky, I realized how fitting it was to be turned here with my true family and that everything truly happens for a reason.

Yesterday we welcomed Kingbeet82 into the our illustrious ranks. King spent many days as a human in another family so we welcome his expertise into our family. I know that he will be a fantastic hunter and shows great skill as a predator and immense love for the clan.

Lycan HUD

Lycan HUD

1) RADAR: You can see everyone within 96m of you. Good for hunting or avoiding your ex.

2) HIDE/SHOW: Push the button to hide...push again to show. Try it and you will get it... not that hard ;)

3) CLAWS (BLOODY OR CLEAN): Press the bloody claws and your claws become red with blood. Press the non-bloody claws and well you guessed it. Your paws are all clean again.

 4) JAWS: OK truth be told, I think that this button is a complete ripoff. It appears that the only way that this button has any functionality is when you have the full Lycan beast avatar that Bloodlines makes which to be quite honest is butt ugly. 5) CLAWS (SHOW/HIDE): Also self explanatory... is basically like the fangs. If you are wearing your claws you can hide them and show them at will. (NOTE: you have an inactive and active claw. You must wear your active claw to actually claw someone)

6) HOWL: Again, another silly parlour trick. A pretty cool animation, but the howl sounds more like an elephant. I am working on seeing if it can be replaced with another howl. I will keep you posted.

7) POUNCE: Strictly an animation. Jump up reeeeaaallly high and land in a crouching stance.

8) CLAW: Seems self explainatory... but just in case - you click this when you want to claw someone. A menu pops down and allows you to choose the name of the person you want to request to claw.

9) SCAN: Ok this one is the most useful. This will tell you if someone is a fresh bite and therefore a valued hunt. Also, it will tell you someones status if they have been bitten, allow you to check the blood, lumen, humanity levels of your charges, and get information about people's status and clan info.

10) SETTINGS: This is where you set all of your personal stats, liege, clan, gender etc.

11) CHARISMA: You have one point that you can give someone each day...so give it to someone who doesn't suck. Its basically like "cool points." 

Congrats to Talil Dragonfyre

Today our household was honoured to witness the making of a new vampire! Congrats to Talil on her recent accomplishment.

Talil has already proven herself to be a wonderful hunter during her training and will be a huge asset in hunting and training new members. We are blessed to have her in our household and welcome her with open arms.

Congrats to Rayne Sommerset

Today, Rayne was welcomed into the ranks of vampire within our clan. We are so very excited that she was finally able to receive the dark gift of immortality and look forward to her continued service to our house and clan as a vampire.

Vampire HUD

OK, so for many areas, the HUDs are fairly similar across the BL spectrum, but with various differences in the abilities, animations, and equipment (obviously, Vampires have fangs and Lycans claws). So, I will walk you through all of the HUDs but know that they are primarily the same.

NOTE: if you are planning on turning at some point, there is no point in getting the Human HUD in my humble opinion. Just don't put in your fangs until you've turned...cause um...well now that would just be silly wouldnt it?

Vampire HUD

3) FANGS: Not all places or all hunts are appropriate to be going around with fangs a'glistening. The white fand will allow you to hide/show them and the red ones give the appearance of blood covered ones (press again to brush your teeth and return them to the pretty pre-meal white).

4) BLOOD: This is a cool blood dripping annimation. If you enjoy the dark, bloody things in life. Maybe I'm just a lil sick like that ;)

5) FACIAL EXPRESSIONS: OK, so to be honest, I see no point in having this on the HUD - but I do use the smile for photos and the frown as my token "scrunchy face" for when I am trying to get my way.

6) SMOKE SCREEN: Again, another silly parlour trick. I've only used this as a cool way to TP out of places when there are non BL players around to impress them, and to bite people in public places.

7) INVISIBILITY: This would be a very cool trick if it didnt still show your name in the air. Basically it just places you underground, but in a crowded club when you are trying to spy on someone who you know doesnt have a radar HUD... I mean I guess it could work.

8) BITE: Seems self explainatory... but just in case - you click this when you want to bite someone. A menu pops down and allows you to choose the name of the person you want to request a bite from.
